Stones Painted As Strawberries | DIY

To prevent birds from eating your strawberries, put these painted stones around your strawberry plants in the Spring before your fruit ripens. Birds will try to eat them and give up when they realize they are not real. When your strawberries ripen the birds will leave them alone.

Just get some river rock that is about the right size and shape, paint them red, add the seeds and some green on the top for leaves. They don't have to be perfect, just good enough to fool the birds.

I tried this last year and it really made a difference! We have the ever-bearing strawberry plants. We love them. They just keep spreading and giving us fruit all summer long. Their taste is incredible! A 'must-have' in your garden.
