Listerine for Rain Rot and Other Things

Here in Oregon something we battle a lot is rain rot on our horses. I had a Thoroughbred named Sirus who always got this in the winter and I can't tell you how much money I had spent on vet bills and over the counter meds for this problem alone.
One day I was complaining to my farrier about my rain rot issue with Sirus and he told me to use Listerine. It was a miracle! Within just a few days there was a drastic improvement.

I use the generic Listerine full strength in a spray bottle. Spray until area is saturated and leave on to dry. I did this daily in the rainy season for him and he was able to spend more time in the pasture.

This also works well as a hoof soak. Mix with water 1 to 1.
