The added garlic and brewer's yeast are the key ingredients in making these a great natural flea and tick repellent.
1/4 cup Wheat Germ
1/4 cup Brewers Yeast
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons of Coconut Oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 cup chicken or vegetable stock
Combine the flour, yeast, wheat germ and salt together.
Combine garlic and coconut oil together in a separate bowl.
Add 1/2 cup of stock to the garlic and oil mixture and then add in your flour mixture and mix well.
Knead on a floured surface until you get a good dough consistency and roll out to about a 1/2 inch thick (or a little thinner)
Use your favorite cookie cutters to cut the dough into your cookies. Place on a parchment lined sheet pan.
Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
Baste with remaining stock, rotate baking sheet and bake for another 10 minutes.
Turn off the oven and leave the pan in for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. (Don't be tempted to open the door. This will cause you to lose the desired temperature)
