How To Make Your Own Extracts

This takes time but is simple to do. Common Sense Home has a great walk through on how to make Vanilla, Lemon and Almond extracts but you can use the same technique for other flavors as well.
Note: The Almond won't taste like the almond extract you get in the store.

These take time to make. A rule of thumb is to let them sit for 3 to 6 months for a high quality extract. If you need extracts now or maybe a flavor that is hard to make in your area, purchase an all natural extract. Make sure it doesn't have color, corn syrup or other artificial things added. I've listed a few high quality ones below for you to look at.

Extracts are perfect for any kitchen. Great for baking, coffee, tea, ice cream, and drinks.
