Composting-the Staple to Better Gardening

Composting is so easy, and so essential to great gardening. So much of your kitchen scraps as well as your yard clippings can go to making a rich compost to use to enrich your garden soil. Why buy soil amendments and fertilizers when you can make your own?

This first unit shown is going to be my next purchase for my gardening this spring. It has great reviews, and fits into smaller yards or storage areas. The features are just what I am looking for. I love the idea of having 'compost tea' for watering house plants with, as well as my hanging baskets and containers outside. So, this fits the bill for easy composting. This way you know what you are using on your plants, and you know it will be good for your vegetables, fruits and herbs.

This composter is great too. Just a different design for you to look at. It has two bins, so while one is 'cooking', you can be filling the other one.

This is a smaller unit that fits on your counter top in the kitchen. So if you don't have a lot of room to do the composting outside, this would work for you.

Here we have a more decorative unit that would fit in nicely most anyplace in your yard.
