Uses for Coffee Filters, Paper Towels, or Used Dryer Sheets

 
Keep saving those used dryer sheets. Here is another use for them. Make your own cleaning wet-wipes for your bathroom and whatever other surfaces you need them for.

Take your used dryer sheets, fold them in half, and stack them. Use a plastic container about that same size that has a good sealing top.  Then pour your favorite cleaning solution over the dryer sheets - not too much- just to get them about like the purchased sheets are. 

You can use white vinegar with some unscented liquid castile soap. You can also get scented liquid castile soap, or use some essential oil for scent if you wish. This is going to make some great smelling wet cleaning sheets for less than you can purchase them for. And, they have only what you want in them. 

If you prefer, you can also use a Lysol disinfectant and water solution. I just tried this on a used dryer sheet, and it worked great. I, however, do not like the smell of that product, so I will make up my own.

 You can also use coffee filters for wet wipes. I just used one on my kitchen sink with a bit of dish soap on it, and it worked great too. I don't know how these would stand up to being in a closed container and wet for any length of time. So, if you try that let us know. 
Just get a round container with a good snap on lid, the same diameter as the filters, and put the filters in one at a time so that they are separated good.  Then pour your solution over them- not too much. Snap on the lid and you're ready for your next cleaning job.

Another idea is using an empty container from purchased wet wipes, take a roll of paper towels, cut it in half, remove the cardboard inner roll, and stick the towels into the container.  Then pour your solution of choice over the towels - again not too much- and you have about the same thing that the purchased wet wipes are. This can be a spendier way to do this project, as it seems you need to buy the heavier paper towels - or you could use the blue shop towels. These are my personal favorite. They do the job anywhere and everywhere, and aren't so spendy!
