Fun Ways to Teach Children Plant Identification and Their Uses.

Children are drawn to nature and you might be surprised at how fast they learn about wild plants and their uses.

Kids are like sponges; give them the right tools and they will become experts in plant identification and how to use them correctly. Much of the knowledge I have of edible and medicinal plants was taught to me by my grandmother at a very young age and that knowledge has never left me.

The Wildcraft Adventure Game is a great way to teach children of all ages plant identification, uses and cooperation. Most of the plants in this game are medicinal but there is a few edible plants as well.

The Wild Cards, Card Game is not so much a game as it is flash cards in my opinion but has a great list of edible plants and the kids love flipping through them.

The Kid's Herb Book is a workbook children of all ages will actually enjoy. There is lots of good information in here and you may find that you want to keep this workbook for yourself.  Kids will learn plant identification, gardening, how to make things like natural toothbrushes, salves, cough remedies and a whole lot more.
